Art walk through Brussels
Brussels I love You, or BILY for short, is organising its fourth consecutive Contemporary Art Walk between 9 and 17 February. This extensive art trail guides art lovers past a variety of galleries, workshops and artists' residences in our capital.
The initiative began in France under the name Paris je t’aime. Following three successful editions, it finally reached our capital. The event has become a huge success here too. Each year, several art houses, such as Almine Rech Gallery and Charles Riva Collection, open their doors to the general public in Ixelles and Saint-Gilles, as the Brussels ‘art district’. In doing so, the organisation aims to encourage people's (re)discovery of Brussels' dynamic creativity from an artistic perspective. BILY also hopes to introduce the many young artists waiting for a breakthrough to a wider audience.
The audience is not limited to professionals. In fact, anyone with even a mild interest in the arts is most welcome. In this way, the Contemporary Art Walk leads to meetings between all kinds of connoisseurs and collectors, artists and art lovers.
