20 years of urban art at LaVallée in Molenbeek-Saint-Jean
Until 30 september at LaVallée, at the exhibition/event Twenty Years of Farm Prod. In Paint We Trust, a Brussels artist collective will show how it has seen, experienced and imagined urban art over the past 20 years.
The scene of urban artists from Brussels, elsewhere in Belgium and abroad has an intense experience in store for the audience. How do they experience and express their art? You will find out in an immersive series of concerts, workshops and guided tours. And all of that for free!
Both the venue and the event are particularly worth a visit. The LaVallée project, named after the street where it is located – in the Brussels commune of Molenbeek-Saint-Jean –, is built around three pillars: workspaces, room hire and event production. On a former industrial site, diverse artists and 180 creative entrepreneurs (graphic designers, visual artists, stylists, journalists, architects ...) live together and exchange knowledge, skills, networks and tools. Five rooms with a total surface area of 2,000 m² provide the setting for around a hundred cultural, artistic, festive and social events every year. Of course, LaVallée also (co-)organises a varied programme for a diverse public in this inspiring environment; just think of the summer aperitifs on Fridays, the local market, open-air cinema, collaborations with other partners ...
Come and enjoy bustling Molenbeek-Saint-Jean yourself.
