Time singing the praises of Adil El Arbi

"The Spielberg of Molenbeek", is what Time has dubbed the Belgian director Adil El Arbi. The renowned magazine has included the film maker in its list of "leaders of the next generation".

Time devotes an article to Adil El Arbi, and the young director also features in a video. Adil El Arbi studied film at St-Lukas in Brussels. Together with fellow-student Bilall Fallah, he started shooting films, mainly drawing on his own experiences of growing us in Brussels as a Moroccan Belgian citizen. After the success of the film Black from 2015, recorded in Molenbeek, he took off to Hollywood with Fallah, where he has directed the films Beverly Hills Cop 4 and Scalped, along with two episodes of the TV series Snowfall.

In January 2018, the new film by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah will be in the cinemas. Patser is about four rascals who steal a load of drugs, unleashing a gang war in the process. Watch the trailer on YouTube.
