Grammy Awards : Beyoncé’s incredible choreography made in Belgium

23/02/2017

Beyoncé literally set the stage ablaze at the 2017 Grammy Awards thanks to an exemplary performance showcased by the Belgian choreographer Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui.

Every year, the "Grammies" are held in the United States where the best performers and technicians in the music world are honoured. Despite the fact that Beyoncé did not receive the award for album of the year, which went to Adele, she did win the award for the best music video and the best urban album.

Also, her performance was a major highlight of the ceremony. Indeed, her choreography, developed by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, a Belgian contemporary dance choreographer, was impressive and very aesthetic.

Pregnant with twins, it was her first appearance since the announcement of the news. Scantily clad, Jay Z's wife revealed her rounded belly with pride. During the performance, Beyoncé appeared to be depicting Oshun, the African goddess of love, fertility and water. She opened her performance with a poem about maternity.
