Safran Aero Leaders becomes billion euro company
Business is booming for Safran Aero Leaders, a Belgian company active in the aviation industry.

In fact, the aeronautics motor giant has recently joined the club of Walloon companies with over a billion euros in turnover. They are a world leader in their sector.
All of this growth is thanks to Safran Aero Leaders’ scale-up in both production and investments, banking on the recent increase in air travel. The Liège-based giant was initially known as Techspace Aero and, in their own words, the company “designs, develops and produces modules, equipment and test cells for aircraft and space engines” and is active in more than two dozen countries. Beyond that, the Walloon enterprise’s mission is to contribute to safer and more sustainable aviation.
It’s another feather in Belgium’s aeronautics and aerospace cap, which also includes other industry giants like Sonaca, and when it comes to the great beyond, the first Belgian lunar rover will hit the moon by 2028.
The sky and the stars are the limit for Safran and for the Belgian aviation and aerospace industry as a whole!
