Nivea to get a Belgian boss

Stefan De Loecker will take up the reins as CEO of Beiersdorf AG from 2019. This German multinational is mainly known for the Nivea cosmetics brand.

The Belgian manager will succeed Stefan Heidenreich in heading up the organisation on January 1st, having previously been Vice-CEO. Alongside Nivea, Beiersdorf produces the plasters for Hansaplast, the Labello lip balm and the Eucerin skincare product range. The organisation employs more than 18,000 people around the world and has a turnover of more than 7 billion euros.

The 51-year-old Stefan De Loecker was born in Siegen, Germany, but has the Belgian nationality. Following his studies in Antwerp, he first worked for Nestlé and Tesco, before pursuing his career at Beiersdorf since 2012.
