The new king of the events industry is Belgian

12/01/2022

Stephan Paridaen takes the reins of the world's largest group specialising in technical production for major events such as Tomorrowland, the Oscars and Coldplay.

Established in 1995, Production Resource Group (PRG) employs 3,000 people and achieved revenues of around $1 billion before the pandemic. The New York-based group is a global leader in technical production for the events and entertainment industry. Coldplay, the Oscars, Rock Werchter, the Tokyo Olympics and the Dubai World Expo have all called on this multinational company which since the beginning of 2022 has been led by Belgian Stephan Paridaen.

In practical terms, PRG's mission is to offer technological solutions to the creative challenges inherent in the largest shows. This includes technical planning and management (screens, video, audio, lighting), production, logistics, and the setting up of customised infrastructures.

Former director of Barco, the famous Kortrijk-based company specialising in screens and projectors, Stephan Paridaen is now taking on a new challenge in a sector he has been an expert in for nearly 30 years, including 12 years with PRG. He is now aiming to obtain new market shares for his group in sectors that offer more promise during this pandemic period, such as music and virtual productions.

Congratulations to Stephan Paridaen on entering the closed circle of Belgian bosses of multinationals.
