Guylian celebrates 20 years of collaboration with Project Seahorse

05/11/2018

During the latest State visit to Portugal, Guylian chocolates celebrated the twentieth anniversary of their partnership with Project Seahorse, a group that works to preserve marine ecosystems.

The partnership between the Sint-Niklaas-based chocolate company, known around the world for its shell-shaped chocolates, and the international organisation Seahorse, which campaigns to protect seahorses and oceans, was launched in 1998.

Guylian has been heavily involved since the start and has become the organisation's largest partner over the years. As well as significant financial support, the chocolate company fights for the survival of seahorses and their habitats through a range of different initiatives, such as limited series of boxes of chocolates exported around the world and a photograph competition held every two years that focuses on the protection of the underwater world.

In 2015, their commitment resulted in them winning the Corporate Social Responsibility Award from the Royal Belgian Committee for Distribution.
