Wooclap, a Belgian startup, is emerging as a world leader in university e-learning.

In 2015, Sébastien Lebbe and Jonathan Alzetta, two students from the Brussels Polytechnic School, launched Wooclap. They wanted to create educational tools that could help teachers improve student attention in classrooms.

These two passionate about education and technology then surrounded themselves with teachers, neuroscience researchers, engineers, and learning technologists to develop amazing tools.

Today, the Wooclap platform has over 50 million users across Europe, North America, and even Asia. Their clients include prestigious universities such as the Sorbonne, Duke, and Carleton University, as well as multinationals like TotalEnergies and Vinci, as their tool is increasingly appealing to corporate training departments.

European pioneers in the integration of generative AI in their sector, they had already launched a question generation feature in early 2023, which has since developed into a tool that allows, for example, to directly reformulate a multiple-choice question based on student responses to ensure that a concept is properly assimilated by the student.

Their successful results are now attracting investors injecting millions of euros with the aim of enabling this Brussels-based startup, which now offers one of the most advanced active learning platforms available, to gain ever more market share worldwide.

A great success for this company whose noble goal is to transform every learning opportunity into lasting knowledge and skills.
