BESIX builds an unusual tower in Paris

The Tour Triangle in Paris is a revolutionary architectural project in its design. And this vast construction project has been awarded to the Belgian company BESIX.

Designed by the architects Herzog & de Meuron, winners of the prestigious Pritzker Prize, the Tour Triangle project in Paris is finally taking shape after a decade of deliberations. This work has just begun and will see the erection of a 180-metre-high tower within the Parc des Expositions at the Porte de Versailles.

Comprising mainly office space, the Tour Triangle will also house a conference centre a health centre, a cultural centre, a daycare centre, a hotel and a restaurant. This 42-floor building will have a footprint three times smaller than that of a conventional building. A real technical feat!

On an environmental level, the Tour Triangle will fully meet the most stringent requirements.  It will include 2,600 m² of green terraces, a bioclimatic façade and more than 1,000 m² of photovoltaic panels. It will also be equipped with geothermal systems, an urban heating network and energy and heat recovery systems.

This technical, logistical and architectural challenge has been entrusted to a Belgian company that is recognised as one of the largest international contractors. In addition to this future iconic building in Paris, BESIX has already been put in charge of extremely prestigious structures, such as the Grand Egyptian Museum in Cairo and the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, the tallest tower in the world.

Within four years, the City of Light will be dazzled by Belgian expertise.
