Bopro Sustainable Investments (BSI) from Ghent is among the 51 award winners in the competition ‘Inventons la Métropole du Grand Paris’. This competition looks for projects that can improve the lives of Paris residents by redeveloping sites that are not yet utilised.

The jury chose the Belgian company's Triango project, which aims at breathing new life into the site known as Triangle de Gonesse. This area lies between the airports of Charles de Gaulle and Le Bourget. BSI drafted an entirely new district in which to live, work and enjoy leisure activities. There was considerable focus on sustainability and the smallest possible ecological footprint. This means it will be possible for every building to be adapted and dismantled. The project also focuses on green mobility and includes bike parks, a car pooling service and automatic shuttles.

By 2030 Triango should provide 11,500 jobs, 68,500 m² of green space, a useful service area of 167,100 m² and 10,000 m² of hi-tech urban agriculture.
