Thrills and excitement at Walibi

04/06/2016

On Saturday 4 June, a new attraction opened at Walibi, the famous Wavre theme park; its name is PULSAR. It has already won awards, not to mention acclaim from the international press. Visitors sit in a boat and are propelled to a height of 45 metres, three times. PULSAR reaches a top speed of 100 km/h, making you feel as if you are flying, gliding and then dropping straight into the water! Guaranteed thrills for all...

This ride, the first of its kind in the world, was designed by the German company Mack Rides. It won its first prestigious award at the annual IAAPA Awards ceremony in Orlando last December, even before its construction was completed. The International Association of Amusement Parks & Attractions (IAAPA) brings together all the players in the theme park and leisure industry from around the world. The attraction was voted "Best New Concept" by a jury of worldwide industry specialists. The Los Angeles Times placed PULSAR 8th in its list of the top 16 best new attractions in the world in 2016!

Construction began in April 2015 and took a full year to complete. The ride was built on an existing lake, making it a real technical achievement. It is a real success, whose results have matched all expectations.
