Bpost presents 2018 stamp collection

05/12/2017

The Belgian Post Group, bpost, has presented its stamp collection for 2018. Every year, there are recurring themes such as architecture and culture. Next year, bpost will also focus on the current youth culture with stamp sheets dedicated to Tomorrowland, the outdoor dance event in Boom, and street art creations by famous and less famous Belgian street artists. Another postage stamp will be dedicated to Child Focus, the centre for missing and sexually exploited children, to commemorate its 20th anniversary.

Those are the real eye-catchers, but in 2018 bpost will launch postage stamps on a variety of other themes including: the diamond sector, the Smurfs celebrating 60 years, the Belgian beer culture, Belgian wildlife, Peter Paul Rubens, football in a Belgian-Russian setting, the Pont des Trous in Tournai, the modernised and refurbished Royal Museum for Central Africa, the spiral as a geometric pattern in nature, Namur's historic heart, five species of dragonflies, five prehistoric animals, the First World War with the Liberation and a poppy with the poem In Flanders Fields, five exquisite Belgian mansions and an end-of-the-year postage stamp to add a sparkle to your holiday greetings.

The postage stamps will be put into circulation at different times. The stamps are displayed on bpost's website and can be purchased via the web shop from the date of issue.
