The "Belgium is Design" label, more Belgian than ever with the Club of 10!

The Belgian label "Belgium is Design" brings together different institutions that promote design: Wallonia-Brussels Design/Fashion, Flanders DC for Design and MAD Brussels. Since its launch in 2011, this initiative has stepped up its activities. Next step: the Milan Design Week 2018, held from 12 to 17 April, during which "Belgium is Design" will roll out its "Club of 10".

The "Club of 10" is the co-branding of ten Belgian brands presented under the label "Belgium is Design". With this new initiative, "Belgium is Design" becomes 101% Belgian since it brings together designers from Brussels, Flanders and Wallonia. This is a first for made in Belgium design since, up until now, brands used to participate in each event individually.

Thanks to this association, ten Belgian designers will be able to benefit from greater visibility during Design Week, especially at the Salone Satellite and FuoriSalone shows. Furthermore, the Salone Satellite show occupies a particularly important place at the heart of the Wallonia-Brussels Design/Fashion platform given it celebrated its 10th anniversary there in 2016. 

Thanks to the "Club of 10", it is back, more Belgian than ever, with two new exhibitions: "The New Belgians" and "Belgian Matters". While the first one will present six promising designers from French-speaking Belgium, the second will showcase collaborations between Walloon, Flemish and Brussels designers. Initiated and supported by the Belgian label, this collaboration will, no doubt, bring out the best of Belgian design and the talent of our designers, who, will certainly know how to make their mark.
