Ugo de Wilde is, in 2017, the world's youngest racing driver. This 14 year-old Belgian will be participating in the French formula 4 in a single seater, competing for the world title alongside other talented drivers. In doing so he will follow in the footsteps of the formula 1 driver Stoffel Vandoorne.

The car racing world will meet Ugo de Wilde for the first time on 15 April. At the age of 14 he will make his debut in the French formula 4, as the only European single seater championships to allow such young drivers. In doing so he will follow in the footsteps of the current formula 1 driver Stoffel Vandoorne, who won the F4 championships when he was just 18 years old.

De Wilde is not dreaming of the title however: “My main aim is to gain plenty of experience so that I can compete for victory next year.” De Wilde already has considerable experience in the world of car racing, despite his young age. He has won other titles, including Belgian carting titles in the categories Mini and Junior. De Wilde will participate in a total of twenty-one races in the F4.
