Four Belgian projects won grand prizes at the prestigious MIPIM Awards. The strong international reputation of Belgian architects was thereby reconfirmed at the famous real estate fair in Cannes.

MIPIM, the international real estate fair, is an annual event in Cannes. Besides being a networking platform, the fair is also an opportunity to reward the best projects from the past year. The so-called MIPIM Awards have been issued ever since 1991. This year, four Belgian projects were awarded a grand prize. The greatest glutton was the architectural agency Jaspers-Eyers, which was involved in each of the four winning projects.

Indeed, they were behind the drawing board for the Warsaw Spire, Poland's tallest building. NIKE's new distribution centre in Ham is also the result of their work. In addition, Jaspers-Eyers teamed up with A2RC Architects to create the Chambon complex in Brussels and also took a team of architects to transform the mining district Be-MINE into a modern residential, office, shopping and leisure centre with a historic and industrial nature.
