Did you know these movies were made in Belgium?

22/09/2016

Belgium is a popular location for recording movies. Every year, hundreds of big or smaller productions are partly or completely shot in or country. Very often, Belgian locations are used to represent locations in foreign towns or countries, so it is not always obvious to recognize Belgium when watching the movie.

This popularity results from the diversity that characterises Belgium: over a distance of some 200 km you are driving from the coast through art cities via our capital Brussels towards the natural areas of the Ardennes. Furthermore, competent technical staff is available in Belgium. Finally, the Belgian 'tax shelter' provides an extra incentive for filming in Belgium: companies investing in the production of films benefit from a tax reduction.
