The Belgian Tomorrowland Festival has been given its own airplane

23/03/2017

The famous Tomorrowland Festival, held annually in Boom, Belgium, has received its own airplane from Brussels Airlines. This year, the festival will take place on 21 to 23 and 28 to 30 July 2017.

The Airbus A320, called 'Amare', was created for travellers to the festival, and is decorated in an electronica style inherited from the festival’s music. Inside, the aircraft features mood lighting, and passengers are welcomed by the Tomorrowland hymn. Music will be played during the entire flight so that passengers can begin festivities while aboard the aircraft.

Each year, airplanes to Tomorrowland transport visitors from over 200 countries. As such, the Belgian festival can be seen as the world’s most international event.

Amare is the fourth themed aeroplane in the Brussels Airlines fleet, with prior creations celebrating Magritte, the Red Devils, and Tintin. The Belgian airline feels that its role is not only that of transporting passengers to their destination, but also of disseminating the image of Belgium.
