29/09/2017

From next year, holiday-makers travelling with the travel agency Thomas Cook, which also owns Neckermann and Pégase, will be able to fly with in a Brussels Airlines airplane.

The agreement with the competition authorities means that the national airline company Brussels Airlines will operate the majority of the Thomas Cook Group's flights. An added bonus for holiday-makers is the introduction of services to 26 new sunshine destinations - some daily and others several times a day.

This partnership will allow Brussels Airlines to grow by 17%; it will still offer passengers a high level of flexibility while eliminating the main disadvantages of charter airlines, such as restricted baggage weight. Moreover, more than one million seats will be added. In practical terms, Brussels Airlines will provide flights to 90% of Thomas Cook destinations and almost 160 pilots and cabin crew will join the Brussels Airlines teams in the next few weeks.

This new partnership will come into force on 26 October.
